— North Van Handyman TeamMeet the Team
We’re a small but mighty crew of hard-working, friendly folks who take pride in what we build—and how we treat people. North Van Handyman is family-run and community-focused, and we believe great work starts with a great team.
Whether we’re painting a bedroom, building custom shelving, or helping you plan your next reno, the people behind the tools (and the spreadsheets) are what make it all happen.
Get to know the team that keeps North Van Handyman running—on site and behind the scenes.

Owner & Founder
Leeve studied engineering, but it was his passion for building and problem-solving that led him into the world of construction. After years of hands-on experience, he started taking on handyman jobs in his spare time—and that’s how North Van Handyman was born.
What began as a side hustle quickly became a full-time business rooted in quality craftsmanship, reliability, and community values. Leeve hasn’t looked back since.
When he’s not on the tools, you’ll find Leeve embracing North Shore life—mountain biking, snowboarding, or hiking—usually with his wife, Paula.

Administrator
Ale joined the team in 2024 as North Van Handyman really started to take off. Like any good family business, Paula recruited her sister to help with the growing list of admin tasks that needed attention. If you reach out for a quote, she will most likely be the first person to get back to you!
As the resident Gen Z, Ale keeps our social media fresh and makes sure Leeve and Paula don’t take themselves too seriously. When she’s not running things behind the scenes, she’s studying for her engineering degree, playing intramural sports, or laying on the beach.

Jason is our lead carpenter at North Van Handyman. He has gained tremendous experience in a vast range of work in the carpentry field over the last 19 years, having mostly focused on high end renovations.
Jason’s favorite part of the job is the finishing; he loves the art of detail in all those finishing touches, that make a job go from good to great.Outside of work, Jason has lots of very cool interests, including recording music artists! He also loves getting into the great outdoors by hiking on the beautiful North Shore.

Owner & CFO
Paula joined the team when Leeve decided to take North Van Handyman full time. As both his business and life partner, she keeps day-to-day operations running smoothly and ensures the company’s finances stay on track.
When she’s not helping run the business, Paula works in environmental science, spending her days near rivers and restoration sites. Her love of data, spreadsheets, and a good workflow translates perfectly into her role as the numbers gal at NVHM. In the summer, you’ll find her out on the water; in the winter, she’s usually tucked in with an embroidery project and a hot cup of tea.

Handyman & Estimator
Tommy has been with us since 2024. He is a handyman, estimator, and caulking connoisseur. He loves working on finishing carpentry and has an excellent eye for detail.
Tommy came from Germany in 2022 and has loved living in Vancouver ever since.
Other than that, he feels most at home in the outdoors—whether he’s hiking through BC’s backcountry, setting up camp by a lake, or crafting a meal over an open fire with whatever he has on hand.

Steven, our junior tech, joined the team at the beginning of 2026.
He discovered woodworking after high school, learning the skills from numerous jobs.
Eventually returning to school, he quickly realized how much he missed working with his hands. As he started to re-explore his options, conversations with friends in carpentry led him to leap back into the familiar tools and materials, in a different form, where he re-discovers that passion daily.
After the job is done for the day, Steven can be found exploring the hiking trails where he grew up or reading a book, probably in a fantasy setting. If he's not so close to home, he's likely going wherever his friends and loved ones take him, especially if their pets are involved.
